WHO WE ARE
GSL Volunteers is made up of Students of Ghana School of Law(GSL). The mother organization is the SRC of GSL. The aim is to provide a platform for students to engage in extracurricular activities that has the potential to enhance their professional development. The benefits that come with volunteering are enormous. Over the years, students only engage in academic work with little to no engagement in impactful extracurricular activities. It’s about time we changed this narrative to reflect the demands of today’s world. Academics alone is not enough in today’s competitive world. Benefits GSL Volunteers stand to gain include professional development, admission into graduate school, qualification for scholarship, instilling the pro bono spirit in students, a way to give back to society and platform to network among other numerous benefits.
Mission
Our mission is to foster a sense of social responsibility and community among professional law students by providing opportunities for volunteer service. Through collaboration with local organizations, we aim to address pressing social issues and make a positive impact in our community. We also strive to promote professional development and skills-building among our members, as well as to cultivate a culture of philanthropy and civic engagement within the law school.
Vision
Our vision as GSL Volunteers is to provide opportunities for professional law students to use their education and skills to make a positive impact on the communities they serve. We aim to build a supportive and inclusive community of individuals who are passionate about social justice and community service. By partnering with local organizations and non-profits, we hope to help bridge the justice gap by providing pro bono legal services and resources to underserved communities. Our ultimate goal is to empower individuals and promote access to justice, while also fostering the professional and personal growth of our law student
