When you create your profile, indicate your areas of interests and preference. whenever there is an opening that matches your preference, you will be notified.
Go to register and provide your details for your profile to be created.
Your hours will be entered by the administrator. You can always check the number of hours you have accumulated.
You can also use the platform to request an official record of your volunteer hours for college or scholarship applications. The official report must be signed by the Director and the GSLV Co-ordinator.
There are no cost involved in becoming GSL Volunteer. You will be required to pay your transportation where means of transport is not provided. However, transport arrangement may be available in most of the projects.
Yes there will be virtual opportunities, which can be done remotely, such as legal research, tutoring and virtual assistantship.
No. There are no age restrictions. Once you are a student of GSL you qualify to be a member.
There is no payment for work done as a volunteer. However, an organization may decide to pay stipend for work done for them.
Ideally a student is required to do 100 volunteer hours in a year. A maximum of 8 hours a day.
All communication must be addressed to the GSL Co-ordinator who will liase with the organization on your behalf.
All disputes must be addressed to the Co-ordinator who will contact the organization for the dispute to be settled.
You will be given certificate signed by the Director and the GSLV Co-ordinator. The certificate will display the number of hours done and the activities you engaged in.
No fee is charged for using the platform.
